We cannot continue consuming cheap goods imported from countries and then criticize them for burning fossil fuels. It’s time to wake up and recognize that living on renewable energy will require a totally different lifestyle from the one we’ve been living.

Think of it this way. To change the power, you must be the power.
The world is heating up; parts are it are already ablaze. But democratic deliberation isn’t futile fiddling—it’s a precondition of dousing the flames.
So my plan for meeting the climate apocalypse is to keep thinking, keep writing, keep farming and keep being hopeful (but not ‘optimistic’) as best I can. What’s yours?
