Solar energy is a commodity that is produced, and that it requires extractive industries and chemical industries and landscapes, end of life management plans. It doesn’t inherently come with sustainability.

With oil prices hovering near historic highs and coal, natural gas and uranium prices yo-yoing during the last several years, concerns about the future of fossil fuel and uranium supplies often elicit the response: "They’ll think of something. They always do."
There is one segment of U.S. industry that ought to be cheering for expanded U.S. natural gas exports–though I doubt that its leaders will be offering their support in anything above a whisper. The renewable energy industry would benefit from higher natural gas prices.
