Anthony James

Anthony is a fifth generation Australian man, living with his family by the ocean in the city of Perth, on traditional Noongar lands. He is an advisor, consultant, educator, writer, speaker, musician, and Executive Director of The Rescope Project.

 Anthony works with individuals and organisations to create lifestyles, systems and cultures that get to the heart of sustainability. He features in a range of media nationally and internationally, is a postgraduate sustainability educator at Swinburne University, and a regular speaker at conferences, festivals and a variety of organisations. He also hosts public conversations with prominent Australian and international guests on regenerating the systems and stories humanity lives by.

 He was co-editor of Everyday Transcendence: The Influence of Frank Fisher (Australia’s Inaugural Environmental Educator of the Year), founding Editor of the Journal of Swinburne University’s National Centre for Sustainability, and his writing has appeared in publications locally and overseas, including The Conversation, Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, ABC Online, World Economic Forum, Eco-Business, EconoTimes, Business Standard, The Epoch Times, Energy Post and The Footy Almanac.
