Caitlin Taylor is an architect and designer focused on creating a food system that can provide healthy food, good jobs, and meaningful work over the long term. She has a cheerful obsession with our relationship to the apocalypse, aspires to be a grouchy local politician, and believes that deliciousness will save us.

In this interview with Rob Dietz of Post Carbon Institute, Caitlin and Rob discuss her passion for prioritizing localized production, community resiliency, and finding meaningful work.

Caitlin Taylor

Caitlin Taylor is an architect with a background in food and farming. In her role directing MASS’s Food System Design Lab, she develops interdisciplinary research at the intersection of food systems, regional ecologies, and the built environment.

Caitlin is leading design projects around the country including the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture and the Pepper Place Pavilion. She is a professor at the Yale School of Architecture and lives on the farm that she owns and runs with her family.
