Sandra Lindberg

Sandra Lindberg worked in theater as a writer, actor, director and academic for over thirty years. She holds B.S. and M.A degrees from Illinois State University and an M.F.A. in classical theater from the Old Globe’s Professional Acting Program at USD. Her verse play A Breach in Autumn won best verse play from the Judith Shakespeare Co. in 2005 and received an Equity reading in New York. After taking early retirement she focused on environmental activist work in her local Illinois communities, founding with her husband No New Nukes in 2003, which worked with a host of other environmental groups to block plans for a second nuclear reactor in Clinton IL. Also after retirement she has written articles about environmental issues in the Midwest that have been published by System Change Not Climate Change, Resilience.org and Mother Pelican. She is currently in hospice care and wishes to express her profound gratitude to the loving family, friends and hospice staff that are making her remaining time on this beautiful planet as happy, comfortable and full of discovery as the reality of AML will allow.
