Jeannie Economos is the Pesticide Safety and Environmental Health Project Coordinator at the Farmworker Association of Florida, where she has worked for over 18 years on issues related to farmworkers’ exposure to pesticides. She is also coordinator of the Lake Apopka Farmworker Memorial Quilt Project, that memorializes the former farmworkers on Lake Apopka who were exposed to toxic pesticides on the vegetable fields of Florida’s most contaminated large lake.
The Tide is Turning, as Farmworkers Fight for Organic Agriculture
