Chozin is from the Changthang region of Ladakh. She is founder of the Jangsa initiative and co-organized the Ladakh Economics of Happiness conference. With Local Futures she is helping to raise awareness of the systemic roots of contemporary ecological, cultural and social issues in Ladakh, and to strengthen the local agrarian economy.
