Allan Brown

a textile artist living in Brighton East Sussex is known for his magical transformation of nettles, celebrated in the film The Nettle Dress. He also works in wool, hemp and flax with the aim of creating functional durable cloth that draws lightly on the land. Through using local natural materials and dyes, his creations reflect the textures and colours of the landscape he works with.
