RICHARD GILBERT and DAVID BRAGDON discuss the future of transportation systems as we near the end of cheap oil. What are the solutions? How will we get there? Are we facing the end of the internal combustion engine?

Much of the material referenced is discussed in great detail in Gilbert’s new book, “Transport Revolutions: Moving People and Freight Without Oil”. “Transport Revolutions” is a must read for anyone interested in the future of transportation and is co-authored by PCI Transportation Fellow Anthony Perl.
