For years, Local Futures has been raising awareness of redundant and excessive trade through our publications and our film The Economics of Happiness, yet the issue remains largely absent from international environmental and climate change agendas. So we decided to step it up with our two-part Insane Trade Campaign: this short film introduces the issue to a broad audience in a catchy, humorous way, and a detailed factsheet covers the extent and harm of insane trade in greater depth and encourages people to take positive action towards supporting local economies.
