Axel Borchgrevink is a social anthropologist and professor of Development Studies at Oslo Metropolitan University in Norway. He has worked on economic development, political processes and sociocultural issues in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and is project leader for the research project Riverine Rights: The Currents and Consequences of legal innovations on the rights of rivers.
