Florian Ulrich Jehn does research in food security, climate impacts, and civilizational resilience. Following a PhD in Hydrology, Florian’s research expanded to extreme climate change scenarios and famine prevention after global catastrophes. Beyond academic research, Florian writes the newsletter “Existential Crunch” about societal collapse and gives public lectures on food security and climate change.
What could go wrong?
Things caused by humanity can probably also be solved by humanity. A good place to start seems to be to make sure that the risks we face are more consistently included in things like national risk assessments or global policy making, so that we can better explore what might be done about them.
