Local Food Roots: a film about the UK local food movement

November 25, 2013

“Food really matters, how you eat, how you shop, crucially affects how the world is.” Sheila Dillon, The Food Programme, BBC Radio 4.

f3 – the local food consultants have teamed up with Sprout Films to create a film about how an innovative local food movement has emerged and developed in the UK, from a handful of pioneering initiatives battling against the odds in the early 1990′s, to a diverse UK-wide movement feeding thousands of people every day.

The film explores what’s been achieved and where the 21st century opportunities now lie, including the relevance of local food to feeding towns and cities, in order to raise the profile of this significant movement, inform and inspire future growth.

Running time is 35 minutes.
