Printing problem – fixed

August 10, 2007

UPDATE (August 10):

The problem with the “printable version” at Energy Bulletin has been resolved, thanks to the technical staff of Post Carbon Institute who keep the joints oiled and the cogwheels turning at the website.

Thanks for your feedback alerting us to the problem. It’s a good way to find out about readership patterns. A reader in Australia wrote that without the print capability he had fallen behind in his reading:

I sometimes print one off to read in the loo – often my only chance to do so (to read up on P.O that is!) in the course of the day.

As of about a week ago, the “printable version” for Energy Bulletin articles no longer is functional.

The technical staff are now working on a fix. It may be a few days.

In the meantime, you can print the webpage itself — not as nice, but it should be readable.

A second problem: some older articles have characters that print out oddly. For example, single quotes may display as question marks. Fortunately, the articles are still completely readable.

It’s a complicated, boring problem that you don’t want to know about. The tech staff are studying possible solutions.

Thank you for your patience.
