Speaker Bio: Teresa Posakony
Teresa’s work has led her beyond the bounds of corporate leadership and organizational development into the arena of community engagement and collective leadership/impact. Teresa’s 13 years consulting and leading organizations in the high-tech industry taught her about human potential, rapid change, adaptability and how to live authentically as a leader. Teresa now works nationally and globally with communities and organizations committed to social change Her work locally, in Washington State, includes building statewide community networks focused on family and community resilience, community based strategic, and work with a multitude of non-profits and community based organizations. Since 2003 she has been involved in the statewide efforts to reduce ACE’s (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and toxic stress generation to generation. This has included a personal deep dive into studying trauma, healing, neurobiology, and resilience – Including facilitation of the 2014 NEAR Sciences Think Tank (Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs and Resilience). Teresa is a steward of the Art of Hosting and has been on the core team for two Transition US offerings of the Art of Participatory Leadership and is a champion for bringing dialogic and strong personal leadership practices into the Transition community. Her business, Emerging Wisdom, is dedicated to helping groups work together to bring about change by tapping into our innate creativity & wisdom.
